State the purpose and scope, e.g. "for XX application only, invalid elsewhere", plus a date. Set opacity to 30%-50% so it covers key info without hiding the ID, and tile it to fill the image so it can't be cropped away and reused.
Use tile mode: a semi-transparent watermark repeats diagonally across the whole image, so it can't be removed by cropping part of it. Denser text at 20%-40% opacity protects best while staying unobtrusive.
The tool draws with the browser Canvas — key data is processed locally and destroyed when you close the page. For sensitive IDs and bank cards, we never store or analyze your images.
It doesn't deliberately compress and exports at high-quality settings. JPG has one normal encode; choose PNG to stay lossless. The original pixel dimensions are unchanged.
