Tiles are numbered 1-9 left to right, top to bottom; post them 1→9 to reassemble the original. The filenames carry the numbers, so following them keeps the order right.
Splitting a rectangle directly clips the edges since it isn't square. To keep the whole picture, pick "pad to fill" and the tool adds transparent/white padding to make it square before splitting — nothing is lost.
